PULLMAN, Washington (CBS2) — All Pullman public schools are closed on Thursday, Nov. 9.
A natural gas service outage is impacting the area. School districts must maintain heat-occupied areas of school buildings during school hours at a minimum temperature of 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
As a result of the outage, the district may not be able to maintain the minimum.
Most of the WSU Pullman campus has been switched to an alternative heat source and will remain open and operational. Classes will proceed as scheduled.
The Compton Union Building at Washington State University will remain open overnight for WSU Pullman faculty, staff and students whose heating may be affected by this outage.
