Destiny 2's one and only free-to-play Dungeon, Prophecy, is a great romp and an excellent introduction to one of the best types of endgame content Bungie offers in their MMOFPS. Initially released in June 2020, Prophecy has fun mechanics, plenty of exploration for lore-hungry New Lights, and most importantly, cool loot.

Prophecy is one of the many Dungeons in the game and due to its age, it is occasionally the Featured Weekly Dungeonwhere the final encounter offers Pinnacle Power Level loot. Ignoring this, Prophecy offers great weapons and armor both from its cosmetic appearance and usefulness in-game. Let's take a look at how to get your hands on everything Prophecy has to offer and exactly where you can get it.

Destiny 2 Prophecy Dungeon Overview

While most Dungeons in Destiny 2 offer a new Exotic weapon with each release, Prophecy has none. So don't worry if you're wondering why one isn't dropping - it doesn't exist!

Instead, Prophecy offers some reprised, random-rolled Trials of the Nine weapons and armor from Year 1 of Destiny 2 as well as a whole separate armor set called Moonfang-X7. This Jade Rabbit and Gundam-inspired armor is the real jewel of the Dungeon and what makes it worth grinding on those weeks when it's the featured Dungeon as it's only available to drop from the Kell Echo final boss.

Phalanx Echo Encounter Loot

The first boss encounter of the Dungeon, the Phalanx Echo, has the ability to drop several items. Keep your eye out because the sniper rifle, The Long Walk, is a great PvP option!

The second encounter that offers some solid loot is The Cube. Here, you'll have to go through multiple waves of mote dunking, but once you come out on the other side, you'll have one of these sweet rewards to help whet your whistle.

Kell Echo Encounter Loot

The final boss is the next opportunity you'll have to obtain some loot worth chasing. Here, it's all about the armor drops; there are no weapons on offer here, but this drop is the only way to get a piece of the Moonfang-X7 set

Final Chest Emissary Loot

After defeating the final boss in Prophecy, you'll be teleported to one final chest, separate from the drop you receiver from defeating the Kell Echo, and this has the chance to drop some more armor or a weapon. This chest is your only chance to grab the Pulse Rifle or Shotgun, so cross your fingers, Guardian!

Bonus: Prophecy Dungeon Secret Hidden Chests

There are two secret chests in the Prophecy Dungeon, both of these have the potential to drop any piece of loot that you've already acquired from the Dungeon from previous runs. These are definitely worth stopping at to ensure that you give yourself ample opportunity to earn the rolls you want on these armor pieces and weapons as they're not craftable. Make sure that you and your fireteam stop by them the next time you find yourself in the realm of the Nine!

That's it! That's everything you need to know about collecting all of the loot in the Prophecy Dungeon! For more on Destiny 2 and the most recent Dungeon, Ghosts of the Deep, make sure you check out the Destiny 2 Hub!
