The grandparents of missing Idaho children have confirmed that the two sets of human remains are confirmed to be J.J. Vallow and Tylee Ryan.

In a statement released to numerous media outlets, the Woodcock and Ryan family confirmed the news on Wednesday afternoon.

"We are filled with unfathomable sadness that these two bright starts were stolen from us, and only hope that they died without pain or suffering," the statement said.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity of the remains, however, prosecutors on Wednesday did say that the remains are those of children.

Chad Daybell was in court on Wednesday having officially been charged with two felonies related to missing J.J. and Tylee.

According to Idaho court records, Daybell is being held in the Fremont County Jail on two counts of felony destruction and concealment of evidence. On Tuesday, Rexburg Police, Fremont County Sheriff and the FBI searched Daybell's property and found two separate sets of human remains.

On Wednesday, state prosecutor Rob Wood said it's believed the human remains are those of children though they have not been positively identified. Daybell's bail has been set at $1 million.

Phoenix reporter Justin Lum reported that the grandmother of J.J. confirmed to him that one set of the human remains were identified as J.J.

Lori Vallow Daybell, Chad's wife, is also behind bars, being held on a $1 million bond in the Madison County jail on charges that she deserted or abandoned two of her kids, asked a friend to lie for her and obstructed the officers investigating the case.
