Catie Beck was born Catherine Elizabeth Beck in 1980 in Annapolis, Maryland, to parents Edward S. Beck Jr. (father) and Mary Victoria Beck (mother). Her parents later divorced, and Catie became very close to her mother’s (her mom now goes by Vicki Conroy) second husband, Paul Conroy.
She has a younger brother, Thomas P Conroy, and a younger sister, Marguerite K Conroy Hodgkins.
Catie was raised in Annapolis, Maryland, and attended Archbishop Spalding High School, a private Catholic school in Severn, Maryland. She finished high school in 1998.
After graduating from Archbishop Spalding High School in 1998, Catie attended Fordham University in New York City from 1998 until 2001. She achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies.
